The global coronavirus pandemic has changed the world and has impacted us all. We wanted to let you know that we are focused on and committed to your well-being – physical, mental and financial. We have made some important changes to some of our benefit plans to help support you and address any unexpected challenges or expenses you may be facing.

Your health is the most important priority—and that includes your mental health. Beyond your health plan, there are many common wellness benefits and resources to help you through this crisis. Chemours offers you many other benefits that are especially useful now, including telemedicine, employee assistance programs, and more. Now is a great time to check out all the benefits available to you.

Free crisis support. To help get you through this, Aetna opened crisis response lines for all members — just call 1-833-327-AETNA (2386).

Medical Insurance. You’ll have $0 cost share for any diagnostic testing and doctor visits related to COVID-19. And through December 31, 2020, all treatment for the Covid-19 disease for employees and their dependents enrolled in a Chemours medical plan will be 100% covered by Chemours ($0 cost share for you)

Prescription Insurance. If you normally get your maintenance prescription medication at retail pharmacies, for your safety and convenience, you can change to mail order at no cost to you and with free shipping. Contact Express Scripts Inc. (855) 853-4656

Behavioral Health. (Including mental health and substance use disorder) Confidential services available from counselors, marriage and family therapists and substance abuse counselors face-to-face or by televideo 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Aetna One Advocate (A1A). Managing your health and benefits during a pandemic can be challenging. To offer personal support, Chemours provides free, confidential advocacy services to you and your dependents enrolled in a Chemours medical plan through Aetna One® Advocate. Call your Aetna One® Advocate anytime, 24/7 at (800) 417-2386

Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Our Employee Assistance Program offers free and confidential help when you need it and anyone in our household is eligible for up to six (6) free counseling sessions on the phone. Contact ComPsych at (866) 974-7366 so you they can connect you with a trained counselor who can talk through your stress and anxiety

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). If your work schedule has been impacted by the pandemic, you can make certain changes to your FSA. Contact The Chemours Benefits Service Center (844) 215-5096

Personal Financial Counseling. Get help to identify and address your personal financial needs and make progress toward your goals. Call Merrill Lynch (877)-854-CHEM to speak with a financial specialist who can also help you on a regular basis to evaluate your progress and make changes to meet your needs

401(k). We are working with Merrill Lynch to quickly implement changes to your 401(k) plan loan provisions to allow you to have access to your available 401(k) funds —

Distributions. You can take coronavirus-related distributions from your 401(k) of up to $100,000 without being subject to the 10% early withdrawal penalty and you may spread the income tax impact of the distribution over up to three years

401(k) Loans. The Chemours 401(k) plan maximum loan is $100,000 (for one and/or two loans). The CARES Act allows employees with loans in effect on or after the CARES Act enactment date of March 27, 2020 to suspend their loan repayment obligations for one year. The interest continues to accrue during the suspension period and the statutorily allowed maximum of five (5) years for repayment does not include the year of suspension.
